As we age, gravity takes its toll on our faces; our skin loses elasticity and begins to slacken and sag, and the fat deposits in our cheeks begin to flatten and slide towards the jaw line.
A mid-face lift procedure focuses on the area between the cheek bones and the mouth. A significant reduction in the grooves and wrinkles below the cheeks and around the nose and mouth can be achieved, and there may even be a softening of any noticeable jowls on the jawline. Skin will appear smoother, cheek bones will be fuller and more defined and there may also be a lessening in the depth of the nasolabial folds (the creases that run from the side of your nose to the lower corners of your mouth).
A mid -face lift can be combined with eye bag removal (blepharoplasty) to create an even more youthful appearance. There are other non-surgical interventions that might be adopted at a later stage to even greater effect; such as dermal fillers and wrinkle relaxing injections.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a mid-face lift procedure take?
The procedure will be conducted under a general anaesthetic and, depending on the treatment, could take between two and three hours.
What are the risks associated with a mid-face lift?
Any surgical procedure carries with it some measure of risk. Potential complications are always possible, but are far less likely in the hands of well practised surgeons. Possible risks will be discussed in detail during your initial consultation to enable you to make a properly informed decision about undergoing your surgery.
How much does a mid-face lift cost?
This very much depends upon the procedure or combination of procedures that are undertaken, but you might expect to spend between £6500 and £7200 when seeking a mid-face lift.
What happens during the initial consultation at New Image Clinic?
Mr Ali Juma and Mr Jamil Hayek will meet with you to discuss your full medical history. There will also be a thorough physical examination to ascertain your current state of health. This will ensure that the procedure is the right one for your circumstances. There will be an opportunity to discuss any worries you may have and to ask questions about what will happen during your surgery.
What is the recovery process associated with a mid-face lift?
You should expect an overnight stay following a mid-face lift procedure, followed by a two to three week rest period to allow any swelling or puffiness to subside. You will be advised to sleep with extra pillows to raise your head and reduce pressure on your face during this period. You will have some scarring that is likely to fade over time and should see the full benefit of your mid-face lift within four to six months. Your full recovery process will be assessed in detail at your follow up consultations with our surgeons.
