Ear surgery in London is a relatively common procedure and is known medically as ‘otoplasty’ or ‘pinnaplasty’. It can be performed on children from the age of five years old, right into adulthood.
About 15% of the population will have some genetic deformity of the ear, and for many people these are very minor. However, sometimes protrusion, obvious asymmetry or strangely shaped ears can be the source of ridicule, self-consciousness and low self esteem. For this reason, a surgical option may be considered.

What are the risks associated with ear surgery?
Ear surgery in London is a relatively straightforward procedure, however, as with all surgery, there are associated risks of infection or potential complications. This will be discussed with you in detail during your initial consultation with our surgeons at New Image Clinic, to enable you to make an informed decision about whether to proceed.
How much does ear surgery cost?
You should expect to spend between £2,500 and £3,500 when seeking ear surgery, but the price will completely depend on the type of procedure undertaken. This will be discussed in depth during your initial consultation.
What happens during the initial consultation at New Image Clinic ?
A full medical history and a thorough physical examination will be undertaken during the initial consultation with Mr Ali Juma and Mr Jamil Hayek. There will be an opportunity to discuss any concerns that you may have, and to ask questions of both surgeons that will be undertaking the procedure.
What is the recovery process associated with ear surgery?
Bandages will be used to hold the ears in place and prevent infection for up to one week. It will not be possible to wash your hair during this time, and there will be some bruising and discomfort so you will need to sleep propped upright to avoid damaging your ears during the night. Once the bandages are removed, a further week’s rest is recommended.
A head bandage may be advised to use for another few weeks. Your recovery process will be fully assessed at your follow up consultation with both Mr Juma and Mr Hayek.
