Breast Implant Removal & Replacement
You might find it difficult to imagine that you would want to have your breast implants removed, especially once you have decided to go ahead with the procedure. However, there are some instances were this might be a choice you have to make.
There can be problems with leakage or the rupture of silicone or saline implants, and while these events are unlikely to be risky or life threatening, the aesthetic consequences can be unsightly. You may experience rippling or hardening of your implant causing discomfort, or some slippage may have occurred. Significant weight loss or weight gain can also have an impact on your augmentation.
Cosmetic reasons may also drive a desire for removal and replacement. You may decide that you want bigger or smaller breasts, so implant removal might be accompanied by augmentation or uplift procedures.
